 Our dryer broke recently, and I have been without a dryer for more than 2 weeks... ugh.. So I thought this image was very fitting for this project.. the broken motor... haha. that thing is DUSTY!

 The best kind of flowers... fake ones!! They dont die if you forget to water them!! :)

Day eight - project 365!

Yes, I know that the quality is not really up to par... I took it with my point and shoot camera.....

But this will probably be my very favorite photo for the year... Claire and Chrissy's very first visit to Disney world, I think this image shows exactly how they felt all day long! :)

Ive made it a whole week so far.. wonder if it will make it all the way through the year!?

Flash!

I still do not have a clue as to what I am doing with it. I have been playing with it mostly set to automatic to get a feel for what I am doing. But, when I took the girls out to model the other day, I ran out of decent natural light, and decided to give the flash a whirl. I don't remember what my settings were and dont feel like hunting them down right now, but I did shoot this one manually :) YAY go me! Hopefully it will not take me too long to learn how to use it!!

I almost forgot day six! I have not been feeling all that well lately, so I am going to blame it on that.

Anywho... here is day five. This is from one of our modeling sessions, I was a little worried about the size of these flowers, BUT I actually really love them. (Claire has a pink one!)

And day six. My original baby girl :) the girls were taunting her with a treat. Don't worry, she did eventually get the treat.

AHHHH *pinch* am I dreaming?

As some of you may know I have Claire and Chrissy signed with Ellie Bean & Models. I got an email today from Michelle the marketing director asking me if I would like to meet up with the owner  of Ellie Bean & Models, who also happens to be the amazing photographer, Alexi Kilmer of Child Essence Photography!!! She will be in Miami the end of this month for a photo-shoot, that I am invited to watch, and maybe even help out a little bit! I am over the moon. I want to go so bad.. hopefully everything will work out perfectly and I can go. Did I mention that said photographer also emailed me and complimented my photography?? I am so excited!!! Please, please, PLEASE... let this all work out!!!

At least I got this one. This one that I really love. I can see both of their personalities so clearly in this one :)

(and yes Claire is wearing the same shirt as the previous post...... it was only for the pictures since this was the only shirt I thought would match this bow.. the session was for the bows.. haha.)

Project 365 - Day Threeeeee!

Funny thing about this one, is that I thought I had completely screwed up this set of pictures. Earlier today I had been trying to figure out how to use my new flash and changed a bunch of settings.. I realized when I was done with these that there was one I had NOT changed back... I was sorta bummed. I just figured I would fix them in photoshop later. WELL whatever that setting was (btw I have no clue what it is or what it does) gave me this AMAZING picture. I very rarely ever get Claires skin tone right.. and VOILA! there it is!! I am so excited. I am going to change my camera back to this mysterious setting and read up on it :)

I promise this will be my last post tonight.. I really need to get into bed anyway.

This was one of those things I saw last year... but was afraid to try since I thought I would fail miserably... I dont think I did bad at all.. Im thinking if I had used a different lens.. it probably would have looked different.....

Project 365 - Last Hint of Christmas...

Project 365

  Heard of it before? I first heard of it last year and I wanted to do it, but I didn't see the point in starting in the middle of the year. All it is, is documenting your year with one photo every day.. we will see if I can do this... So now here we are Jan. 1, 2011. And I don't actually have an awesome photo to share.. but I do have one that I took today..... this morning... EARLYY this morning, say 12:05am-ish? HA! That will work won't it?

AND. Yes I know it is not the greatest image. I took it with my little point and shoot with two very hyper, sweaty little girls, BUT it was taken today. I really wish I would have pulled out my camera this morning after seeing Chrissys insane gorgeous outfit choice. That really would have been perfect!

OHHH, and on another note, I am combining my personal blog with this one... for obviouse reasons.. if I don't, then this one will hardly be touched.. and plus this one has the pretty layout :)
