Black & Gray

For years I wore lots of color and then I met Keith, who only wears black, gray and white. Somehow his color choices have worn off on me and I now wear a lot of black, gray and white. I love this tank top and cardigan! Please do not mind my way too short, shorts. It is still very hot here in South Texas... This look is cute, comfy and still cool enough for the super hot Texas heat!

& then of course Keli who looks cute no matter what she puts on. This outfit was styled completely by her :)

Proving my point with neon.

If you are on my FB page then you saw where I mentioned that I am better at dressing people that are not me. If your not on FB and did not see that, then you are seeing it now. Today I proved my point. I really do suck at dressing myself. Hopefully my venture into fashion blogging will help me with my own wardrobe.

Any who, today I decided to help Keli look super cute, of course she is already adorable so it does not take much :) & here she is first, because her outfit looks way better than mine.

Not Really, but...

So here is my first attempt at "fashion blogging" and yes, it is ultimately a fail. Or maybe not, because I felt pretty and isn't that one of the main points of fashion? Plus I don't have many of my clothes with me right now so I don't really have that much to work with. and it is HOT here in South Texas, so tank tops and shorts pretty much dominate my wardrobe choices right now. Although, I guess it is not that bad...

Oh and don't judge my photographer, she begged to be the one to do it, and she is only 7. So I think she did a pretty decent job ;)

Movie in the Park

Last week I watched that movie, What to Expect when your Expecting, and during the scene where they are in the park watching a movie, I started to wonder if towns really did stuff like that. I know, don't judge, I honestly had no idea. I don't remember ever doing anything like that as a child. So I started browsing the internet and I came across the summer events for where we live and there is was, movie night in the park. I was soooooo excited!

So last night we all loaded up the kids, some blankets and a couple drinks and headed out. It took us forever to find a place to park, so we know to go earlier next time, but once we got out there and had our blankets all set up, we had a blast! According to the website, the movie was to start at sunset, and the sun took it's time setting last night (was supposed to set at 8:28pm, was not dark until after 9) So we ended up being there an hour before the movie start, but all the kids agree to go earlier next time. There was room to run around, a big hill to roll down, they did not even watch the movie when it did start.

I really believe the kids had more fun last night than they have had all summer! I am so happy that we have hopefully created a memory for the kids that they will remember forever and they all say they can't wait for next Friday night!

Summer Swimming

We found a local pool in this new town that we are staying in and have been going with the kids every chance we get. I thought Odessa and Big Spring were hot? JEEEEZ, the humidity in Corpus Christi is about to kill me! I would take Big Spring over Corpus Christi any day.Well, except for the fact that my nieces live here. :/
