Still nothing going on...

After a very fun full summer with the girls, we have been saving like crazy for a truck, so making fun little trips has taken the back burner.. hoping to go to the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico soon! We have been making some improvements on the RV. New carpet, some new shelves, etc...

This is the carpet. BEFORE. nasty. I know. I can't believe I lived with it as long as I did, although I always had rugs down on top of it. 

  

My dad was a HUGE help in pulling the old carpet and couch out. We decided to get rid of the couch because the springs had ripped through the top anyway. Not to mention it was not all that comfortable.

 

 And the final...  for now, since the dinette bench faces the TV we decided that for now, the space could be easily used for my desk and keyboard. :) But you can see the pretty new carpet :)

 

We also decided to replace the entry and bathroom flooring :) It was originally white linoleum. 

 Pretty sure I like the new tile better :)

We also did some other projects around the house... adding some new shelves...

Hopefully soon I will have something better to blog about... I mean, seriously... how much more boring could life possibly get?

Not much going on...

There has not been all that much going on around these parts, I am hoping that I can soon remedy that issue. Boredom does not suit me at all. We did recently make the super hard decision of giving Zoey to a new home. She is a really great dog that deserves a family that can give her more attention and a yard to run and play in. Things that we can not provide for her right now. I won't lie. I cried. She went to a home with a mom and a dad and 2 kids. She has a big yard to run around in, and will soon be moving with her new family to a new house on a whole acre! It was hard. Almost as bad as giving away a kid I would assume.

 

 On the very same day that Zoey's new family came to get her, was Chrissy's 8th birthday. So on top of Zoey leaving, I didn't even get to be with my precious Chrissy on her birthday. She is a super awesome little girl, extremely smart and very talented. She reminds me of myself in ways that others in my family have not noticed. She gets almost "addicted" to things she really likes. She loves high heel shoes (even though she is not allowed to wear them... although I did buy her some cute shoes from Justice that had a small wedge on them.. she was in HEAVEN!) She is easily distracted by sparkly things. She LOVES to dance! She loves to look in the mirror at herself (yes I hate to admit, that I do this as well...) She loves makeup (again another thing she is not allowed to wear, but would get to for photoshoots every now and then) & she wants to be everything when she grows up...... she will find out one day that means she will be an entrepreneur. She wants to own several businesses and also be a runway model. 

Other little things (not so much like her Auntie... maybe a little bit ;)
she is super caring, giving and loves everyone she meets. She is a straight A Student and much taller than other little girls her age. She gets along super well with all her sisters and loves animals. She would lay in the bathroom floor with Zoey and just pet her. She is popular without even trying. She wants to be a cheerleader, and is getting better at her cartwheel. She is truly an amazing little girl and I miss her so much!

& this sweet little video made by two awesome girls, for Chrissy on her birthday... It made me cry, I love how they added the videos of her when she was so little and the song is perfect for Chrissy. Definitely a video worth watching!

Complete Boredom.....

Since I pretty much have nothing to do these days, I decided to try out this photo checklist..  I am going to try and do a few photos a day & I think I will substitute Zoey in any spot that says "child" haha. I will mix them up, do some on my camera and some instagram :)  BTW did I mention my awesome new iphone? I am obsessed with instagram at the moment :)

MY Birthday

This year, I actually had the best birthday I have had in a long time, the past few years I have not really had many family members around, and if you know me, you know I pretty much surround myself with family.  This year though, I had my parents, 2 of my brothers a SIL and FIVE nieces :) The night before, my niece Mihkaella stayed up til 6am watching Vampire Diaries!!! It was really nice, since I have BARELY seen her in the past few years!!! It was perfect. AND my family knows this now twenty-five year old very welll....... Hello Kitty Cake (I will never grow up ;)


There are only TWO things I would have changed....
      1. That more of my family could have been there,
      2. & that my brother and his family would not have had to head back to Corpus.. :(

For some reason though, my birthday did seem to be a great day for naptime!

Big Spring State Park

We decided to check out the state park after going to the waterpark this past Sunday, it is perched on top of fairly big hill in Big Spring. Once we got to the top it was awesome we could see for miles and miles!

Blow up Pool

The new RV park we are in has a pool, but it is shut down.... so how do you cool down in 100+ temps? Why you fill up a blow up pool and invite some friends over of course!
